  • Scars

Treat yourself to bright, smooth, more radiant skin with a Face or Body Peel. Based on the use of gentle, and effective exfoliating solutions, our Peels remove the damaged outer layers of the skin and stimulate healthy re-growth through your body’s own natural regenerative processes.

This is an excellent way to keep your skin texture and tone, fresh and bright.

Face & Body Peel Treatment Procedure

  • On the day of your peel, you will first be prepped for the treatment.

  • This includes cleansing your skin thoroughly.

  • After you are prepped, the doctor or therapist will apply the peel evenly.

  • It is common for the client to feel a tingling sensation as the peel is applied.

  • Your doctor or the therapist will watch your skin carefully to remove the peel at just the right time.

  • After removing the peel, a sunblock is applied.

Potential Risks

  • With light and medium peels, relatively mild side effects such as redness, stinging, and crusting usually subside within a day or two after the treatment.

  • The side effects of deep peels are typically more pronounced, and recovery time is longer.

  • However, serious side effects are rare when the procedure is performed by a qualified doctor.

  • Are Face or Body Peels painful?

In general, patients only feel a mild stinging sensation during light or medium peels.

  • Will my skin literally peel?

Peels remove the outer layers of skin to reduce or eliminate the appearance of a number of skin imperfections. After a patient undergoes a skin peel, the treated layers of skin gradually and gently flake away, revealing a fresh new layer of skin.

  • How long is the recovery period after a skin peel?

The recovery time after a peel depends on the type of peel administered, because each type of peel affects the skin to a different degree.

  • How many peels will I need?

Generally peels are done once every 2-3 weeks or until the desired results are achieved. Maintenance peels can then be performed once a month.

  • How do you know which peel is right for you?

Skin varies from person to person; the doctor would do a thorough analysis to determine the right peel for you.

  • What should I expect during treatment?

Procedures may vary dependent on the type of peel chosen. Skin is prepped using a medical degreaser to ensure the treated area is free of any oils left on the skin. The peel agent is then applied and typically remains on the skin for 3 to 5 minutes. Most patients feel a mild stinging which is temporary and usually subsides after a few minutes.

  • What should I expect with light face & body peels?

These mild peels require virtually no recovery time and patients can return to their daily activities soon after treatment.

  • What should I expect with medium face & body peels?

The new layer of skin appears a few days after treatment. After a few weeks, the skin will be fully healed.
