The Transdermal Anti-Ageing Facial therapy is a two step procedure involving:

​

1. Microdermabrasion

2. Transdermal delivery of products

Transdermal Therapy Treatment Procedure

  • The first step involves the use of microdermabrasion, which is an innovative peeling technique.

​

  • It is done prior transdermal therapy to increase the level of absorption, allowing for controlled exfoliation, removing dead cells and scarred tissue.

​

  • It stimulates microcirculation and promotes tissue regeneration.

​

  • It also aids in skin resurfacing, treating in a range of skin abnormalities.

​

  • After that, transdermal therapy is done whereby an ampule of retinol is applied to the face followed by the introduction of the transdermal hand piece which uses dermoelectroporation techniques aimed at rejuvenating the skin.

Potential Risks

  • There is almost no risk with the transdermal therapy. Some patients may see mild redness but this is not common.

  • What is Dermoelectroporation?

Dermoelectroporation conveys special electric stimuli allowing the opening of intercellular gates and the transdermal delivery of retinol across the stratum corneum.

​

  • How often can I receive transdermal therapy treatments?

​

The treatments are carried out at bi-monthly or monthly intervals – depending on the condition of the skin.

  • Is the treatment safe?

​

Yes, the entire treatment is performed in a sterile environment and there are minimal side effects to the skin.

  • What are the side effects?

​

For the minority of those with sensitive skin, there may be slight redness which disappears rapidly over time.

  • Would the Transdermal Therapy be recommended on blackheads?

By exfoliating the top layer of the skin, microdermabrasion machines clean deep into the pore and removes excess oil and dirt which clogs pores and cause blackheads and whiteheads.

You can return to work after the treatment.

Transdermal Therapy does not require anesthesia, and is very comfortable and relaxing.
